From Fi-Shock, Inc. CEO Tom Boyd-

As the CEO and controlling stockholder of Fi-Shock, Inc. we were the leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty electrical products to the agricultural and consumer markets. We had experienced increasing sales without increases in profitability. I asked our Board to hire Bob as CFO to lead the transition to improve profits and prepare the company for sale and my retirement.

After Bob’s analysis of our potential profitability by customer, product line and business segment, we agreed on a capital improvement program to increase capacity that allowed me to focus on adding new profitable customers and products, while he restructured the company to add value by disposing of unprofitable product lines, reducing debt, buying back stock and recapitalizing the business.

With Bob’s new direction and game plan, we achieved record earnings.

Bob led the negotiation and sale of the company at 9x EBITDA to a strategic buyer in an all cash deal. The buyer, a national home and garden supplier, offered him the VP position running the new business unit, where he also integrated several other other acquired businesses. Bob helped me realize both of my long term goals for my 37 year business, profitability greater than 10% return on sales and selling at a premium price for cash.

Bob worked diligently on all the projects at Fi-Shock and had the vision that paid off. Bob is a brilliant man and anyone working with him will gain from the experience.
